About

After being an English teacher and small business owner, Erin Benford started working in real estate in 2003. It was a natural, having purchased and sold properties with her husband, beginning when they were in college.

Working first for Windermere Silicon Valley Properties, followed by six years at Alain Pinel Realtors, Erin and then team partner son, Jeffrey Benford, moved to the Willow Glen office of Sereno Group Real Estate. They were very excited in 2012 to be in the new Willow Glen office of a innovative real estate company, located on Lincoln Avenue at Willow Street; and after all these years, Erin is still very happy to be part of Sereno, now part of Christie's International Real Estate. One of the Christie's Sereno highlights is the 1% for Good program. After 12 years as part of the Benford Team, Jeffrey continues to work in real estate as a Certified Property Manager. He left the sales side and is taking detailed care of his property management clients, owning 408 Rental Management. There is still a Benford Team, though, as son Joel Benford works as the field and marketing assistant.

Erin has degrees in English and Education, a Certificate in Marketing, and has extra education in residential specialties including distressed properties and property investments.

She works with buyers, sellers, and residential real estate investors in Silicon Valley, and through a North American professional organization, connections throughout the United States and Canada, sending clients beyond the county and state lines, and with Christie's now part of the company, clients can be connected throughout the world.

Erin's experience is varied, including, but not limited to, helping people who are buying their first home, helping to decide when a property is not a good purchase, helping people moving up or sizing down, buying or selling residential investment property, aiding in the 1031 exchange process, selling or buying short sales or foreclosed property, selling estates, and helping seniors decide whether to rent or sell the home they no longer want or can't live in.
